last week was nice and this weekend is fantastic!

Last week was a very nice one.  First off, I caught some bug the week before and ended up staying home sick on Thurs & Fri.  Talk about a wasted few days.  Monday back to work and, although tired and came straight home to couch, was fine.  

It often feels so good to just not be sick any longer.

I had crosswalk duty after school, 2:15 until 2:30.  Yes, orange cal-trans vest, blinking stop sign to hold up and hope the cars do.  It didn't rain, so it was no prob.  I like seeing the kids and their families.  Like I said, I was very tired but I assume the fresh air helped a lot.

On Wednesday I received a surprise present from Merry in Nevada.  And, as great minds always think alike,  how fun that it's a glittery peace sign that I had actually picked up in Pottery Barn & carried around for awhile before deciding not to buy myself a pressie just before Xmas.  So ... very happy to learn that Merry had bought us each one at the after sales.  I love knowing that we each have one.

I had bookclub meetings on both Thursday and Friday last week.  What a fantastic way to end the week!   And the month.  Most months!!   It's just coincidence that one meets on the last Friday and one on the last Thursday.  Sometimes I'm totally overwhelmed but basically I'm just so happy that I have two clubs and two sets of women to meet up with and get to know.   

And sooooo many books to read!
